Gardener has a way with birds as well as bushes

7/21/2012

Richard Jackson's been flipping off the village of Tamworth for eight years, and he doesn't plan on stopping now. It's taken that long for someone to be offended by the bush the British gardener has sculpted into the shape a hand delivering the internationally understood message of "You're No. 1 in my book." Jackson insists he meant no offense when he did his Edward Scissorhands thing, and doesn't think one measly complaint – or any, really – should require him to amputate his creation. His neighbors seem to agree: they've launched a "Save the Bush" campaign, showing that they're fond of Jackson's green thumb – and his other digits, as well. [Source]
