Court drops case against Gary the flower-scarfing goat
1/24/2013Gary the goat faced a fine for eating forbidden flowers, but fortunately he got off with a slap on the hoof. The goat, a sidekick to Australian comedian Jim Dezarnaul (aka Jimbo Bazoobi), went to court to fight a $440 fine issued by police who caught him grazing on the decorative landscaping outside a Sydney art museum. A magistrate dismissed the case, saying there was no evidence Dezarnaul put the goat up to his wanton garden-chomping and so could not be held responsible. Gary declined to take the stand or make a statement to the reporters who awaited him outside the court. He did, however, wear a very fetching hat adorned with stripes, not flowers. [Source]
