Massive gas line explosion rocks West Virginia town

12/11/2012

We'll excuse the driver behind this photo for thinking the Mayan apocalypse had arrived a week early. A major gas line explosion rocked Sissonville, W.Va., today, with residents being advised to "shelter in place," an interstate highway shut down to avoid the site, and onlookers reporting "flames shooting into the air." Multiple fires have been reported, and municipal attention is being focused on a nursing home situated near the conflagration. Miraculously, there are no reports of injuries or fatalities so far.
