Gay couple sues after airline staff tapes dildo to their bag

8/29/2012

A couple returning from a dreamy vacation endured a nightmarish end to their trip. In May 2011, Christopher Bridgeman and Martin Borger were flying on Continental Airlines from Costa Rica to their home in Virginia, with a connection in Houston. At the Norfolk, Va., airport, they were horrified to discover a dildo had been removed from one of their checked bags, taped to the outside of it and smeared with a greasy, foul-smelling substance. The couple filed suit against United/Continental Airlines, alleging airline staff were responsible for the incident. They're seeking punitive damages for "intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy, and negligence." [Source]
