Neanderthal baby thing not really happening, prof says

1/22/2013

Ladies, stand down: Your collective uteruses are not needed to spawn a reconstituted Neanderthal baby. At least not yet, says a Harvard professor who claims his quotes on the topic were mistranslated by German magazine Der Spiegel. Geneticist George M. Church supposedly sought a woman interested in carrying a Neanderthal fetus to term, in part so we could problem-solve our way through existential problems facing the planet.
