At least not yet, says a Harvard professor who claims his quotes on the topic were mistranslated by German magazine Der Spiegel. Geneticist George M. Church supposedly sought a woman interested in carrying a Neanderthal fetus to term, in part so we could problem-solve our way through existential problems facing the planet. But now that his comments have gone viral, Church is stepping back, saying, "[All] I’m saying [is] we need to start talking about it today." Talking: It's how most bad plans start. [Source]
