'Game of Thrones' author posts angry political rant
8/14/2012George R.R. Martin -- the bushy-bearded author of the “Song of Ice and Fire” epic (a.k.a. “Game of Thrones”) -- generally channels his political sentiments into the kingdoms of Westeros, where there are more than enough governmental misdoings. He’s made his views clear, though, on the political situation right here in the U.S. in a despairing rant posted to his blog, specifically covering voter suppression in “states where Republicans and their Teabagger allies control key seats of power.” Though the post itself is short, a clearly riled-up Martin continues the battle in the comments.
