George Zimmerman sues NBC over edited 911 call
12/7/2012If George Zimmerman fails to sell enough autographed thank you notes, maybe a successful lawsuit against NBC will replenish his defense fund. The suit claims Zimmerman was defamed when NBC edited his 911 call from the night Trayvon Martin was fatally shot, making him sound racist. NBC viewers heard Zimmerman say that Martin was black but did not hear the 911 dispatcher asking beforehand the race of the person Zimmerman was calling about. Zimmerman says the broadcast of the edited call has caused him "insomnia and anxiety." If it wasn't for that, presumably a man charged with second-degree murder would sleep like a baby. [Source]
