Geraldo admits racial profiling but still calls hoodies thuggish
5/20/2012Talk show host Geraldo Rivera is back to criticizing the clothes Trayvon Martin was wearing the night he was shot and killed, calling the teen's black hoodie "thug wear" and noting he looked just like the people who'd been victimizing the community. "He was exactly the person George Zimmerman, the property owner, feared," Rivera told Bill O'Reilly on "The O'Reilly Factor" on Friday night. When O'Reilly accused the talk show host of racial profiling, Rivera acknowledged he may indeed be profiling but replied," If he looks just like everybody else that committed the crimes in my neighborhood, that's the person I'm going to focus my suspicion on."
Is racial profiling warranted in this situation?
