Geraldo Rivera’s anti-hoodie stance doesn’t apply to him
3/24/2012Geraldo Rivera must be one of those "do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do" types: After Rivera basically blamed Trayvon Martin's death on the fact that he was wearing a hoodie and urged black and Latino youths to reject them, FreakOutNation has pointed out some of the many times that the reporter, who is of partial Puerto Rican descent, has worn hoodies himself. Of course, the 68-year-old Rivera isn't exactly a "youth" anymore (does the mustache give it away?), but still, we shudder to think how often Rivera must have been willing to tempt fate in the past for the sake of his attire.
Are hoodies actually suspicious?
