Get the door, it's (gluten-free) Domino's
5/7/2012After all of the dietary freak shows that have emerged from pizza ovens lately -- including crusts stuffed with hot dogs or made out of tiny cheeseburgers -- it's somewhat shocking to hear that a major chain is taking something OUT of its dough. Domino's has announced it will become the first national pizza-delivery chain to offer a gluten-free crust. "Many of our customers have asked for a gluten-free crust," Domino's CEO J. Patrick Doyle said. "The prevalence of gluten sensitivity has become a real issue ... and we want to be part of the solution." The newest menu item will be available in 10-inch sizes and cost slightly more than its gluteny counterparts.
Should restaurant chains offer more gluten-free options?
