Sadly, blaming God won't get you off the hook for speeding
11/21/2012The list of acceptable reasons to speed in your car is pretty short, and unfortunately for one woman it doesn't include "God made me do it." Police officers in Fort Pierce, Fla., busted Melissa Miller for allegedly driving her car at 100 mph in a 30 mph zone, while sounding her horn and sticking her arm out the window. When cops asked her why she was going so fast, Miller reportedly said she was letting "the Lord's spirit" guide her. She also claimed the big guy upstairs had told her to honk the horn. The divine excuse didn't get Miller off the hook: She was charged with reckless driving and speeding. [Source]
