God is apparently not a fan of France's new president

On his first official day as the new president of France, François Hollande's plane was struck by lightning as he flew to Berlin for talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. No one was injured in the event, but the plane did turn back. Hollande then hoppped aboard a different jet. Merkel and Hollande's relationship has gotten off to a contentious start as the two have openly disagreed on how to solve Europe's financial woes, and Twitter user @rorybremner suspects the lightning bolt had nothing to do with a deity or a storm front: "Merkel 1 Hollande 0 ... Don't mess with Angela."
