Contractors find $300K of gold dust in heating vent

11/24/2012

A California heating, ventilation and AC company called Clark & Rush should be called Gold & Rush today after its employees found $300,000 worth of gold dust in an old Sacramento home's heating vent. And, luckily, they didn’t even have to knock the precious metal out of a filter; the gold was stored in a dozen baby food jars. The workers turned the gold dust over to the homeowners, apparently in keeping with the company’s tradition of being honest about finding treasure. Previously, in the 80s, the same company found $25,000 worth of gold coins in a client’s home. Here’s hoping they see a big increase in business from people who value that kind of honesty  or that kind of luck. [Source]
