Good old book-burning planned for 30-ton library
6/20/2012What do you do with 300,000 books no one wants? Burn them, obviously. That's the fate in store for a collection in Saskatoon, Canada. Shauna Raycraft inherited the books in 2005 from a neighbor, whose widow also wanted to burn them. Seven years later, Raycraft has no idea what to do with the massive library. She's managed to sort through only about a third of it, and has called for volunteers to help her organize the rest so she can donate the books to needy readers. But the deadline is fast approaching: If the 200,000 remaining books aren't sorted by the end of the month, Raycraft is bringing in the fire department to help her get rid of them.
What would you do with the books?
