'Goodfellas' inspiration Henry Hill dies at 69
6/13/2012Henry Hill, the mobster turned FBI informant who inspired the iconic gangster movie "Goodfellas", has died at the age of 69, according to his girlfriend. Hill's eventful life -- which included stints in jail and the witness protection program -- was immortalized in the book "Wiseguy" and famously portrayed by Ray Liotta in Martin Scorsese's Oscar-nominated movie. "He always said it was 99.9 percent accurate," his girlfriend Lisa Caserta told the New York Post. Hill passed away at a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday. Caserta said he had a heart attack last month and had suffered from bad circulation.
