Google leaves a Festivus gift for the rest of us
12/16/2012Break out the aluminum pole and prepare to air some grievances, because it's Festivus time. This year, Google has left a little surprise for the rest of us inside their search engine, so if you aren't familiar with the holiday's brief but storied tradition, go ahead and take a look. Type "Festivus," search, and see what happens. The celebration, popularized by a 1997 "Seinfeld" episode, seems like something that only devoted fans of the show would recognize. Instead, it's been picked up by popular culture as a Christmas alternative, and somehow stuck around long after the show left the airwaves. It must be a Festivus miracle! [Source]
