4/18/2012"Seamusgate" has picked up steam. After what seems like daily reminders that Mitt Romney once strapped his late Irish setter on top of the family car, Republicans have found a canine misconduct story they can, um, sink their teeth into. Jim Treacher of the Daily Caller kicked back with Barack Obama's autobiography, "Dreams From My Father," and pulled out a quote about the future president's time in Indonesia as a child. "I was introduced to dog meat (tough), snake meat (tougher) and roasted grasshopper (crunchy)."
Despite the fact that at the time Obama was a 6-year-old immersed in another culture, Twitter users tore into the story, entertaining themselves with an #obamadogrecipes hashtag. Sigh. Election years are the BEST.
