Swedish teens riot over sexual rumors spread on Instagram

Swedish students from several high schools in the Gothenburg area, outraged over sexual content on Instagram, barricaded a school and rioted, according to police. An Instagram user asked about "sluts" in the area, promising anonymity to informants, and soon at least 200 photos had been submitted of girls between the ages of 13 and 14, listing their alleged sexual activities. Calls soon went out on Facebook for students to assemble at the school of the account's alleged creator (a 17-year-old girl in Gothenburg) to beat her up. The girl was whisked away and police moved in to secure the area, but violence broke out as students tried to rush the scene.
