Mobile music ID service Shazam has just unveiled its list of the top 10 songs people tagged this year, and among the ditties are Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" and Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe." What we're wondering is: Who are these people who needed an actual computer program to identify those ubiquitous hits, and what planet do they live on? Honestly, how could they miss the zillions of parodies, remixes and covers littering YouTube? We could understand an early spike in IDs when the songs first hit the airwaves, but more than 20 million people with no clue? Sorry — stopping now. [Source]
