GPS failure sends Belgian woman 900 miles the wrong way
1/14/2013Even in a high-tech world, there’s no substitute for a little common sense. A Belgian woman blamed a faulty GPS after driving 900 miles to Croatia when she only planned a 45-mile trip to Brussels. Sabine Moreau left her home town of Solre-sur-Sambre intending to pick up a friend in the Belgian capital about an hour later. Instead, she drove in the wrong direction, crossing all of Germany, Austria and Slovenia before reaching the Croatian capital Zagreb two days later. "I was just distracted and preoccupied,” Moreau told her family by phone, just before her concerned son could ask police to start searching for his missing mom. [Source]
