11/15/2012Croquette, anyone? If you’re familiar with Japanese cuisine then you know that croquettes are a popular snack. Since 1993, the croquette has also played a central role in the "McRib of Japan" — a beloved seasonal menu item at McDonald’s. McDonald’s Japan recently brought back the Gracoro Burger (offered only during the winter) — a sandwich featuring a croquette with a creamy filling of macaroni, shrimp and white sauce, topped with brown tonkatsu sauce and cabbage. Last year, a tomato sauce version caused a stir. This year’s update: a demi-glace and cheddar cheese version. [Source]
