Italian tourist forgets his wallet, but he gets a free trip to jail
1/26/2013It’s an “Oh s**t!” moment that’s happened to most of us. First, forgetting your wallet, and second, realizing you forgot said wallet as you go to pay for something. It doesn’t, however, usually land you in jail. Graziano Graziussi, an Italian lawyer, is a frequent visitor to New York City and often dines at fancy-pants steakhouse Smith & Wollensky. But on Monday night, Graziussi realized he left his wallet at his friend’s place when he got his $208 check. He offered to leave his iPhone as collateral to get his wallet and said he’d bring a busboy with him. No dice. The cops were called, and Graziussi spent the night in a holding cell. [Source]
