Devious dog likely to get off scot-free after shooting owner

A Florida pooch is likely to go free despite attempting to murder its owner on Saturday night. Gregory Dale Lanier, from Frostproof, told police that he and his dog were traveling in his pickup truck when the dog kicked a gun on the floor that discharged into Lanier's leg. Lanier, who was not seriously injured, told cops he didn't think the pistol was loaded — because obviously his not-so-loyal pet slipped bullets into it when its master's back was turned.
