Hungry man repeatedly dials 911 for a cheeseburger
2/27/2013The desperate need for a cheeseburger can indeed eclipse all judgment. Police in New Castle, Ind., say Gregory Jackson Sr. called 911 nine times within 90 minutes to request a delicious patty nestled lovingly with cheese in a bun. After telling Jackson Sr. that "we don't take cheeseburger orders," the dispatcher sent an officer to his apartment, concerned that the caller hadn't eaten in a long time. Instead of fulfilling a hungry man's request, however, police arrested Jackson Sr. The 52-year-old was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear at court two days before his emergency burger calls, so he's being held in the Henry County Jail.
