Grotesquely bronzed mom arrested for taking tot tanning

Take one look at Patricia Krentcil's disturbing complexion and you'll see why she might have thought her 5-year-old daughter needed some rays. Krentcil is defending herself against second-degree child endangerment charges for allegedly taking little Anna on a mommy-daughter date to the tanning salon. Apparently, one of Anna's teachers overheard the child bragging about going to Tropics Tanning, took one look at her sunburn and called the cops. Krentcil, who's out on $25,000 bail, admits she had Anna in tow while she topped off her bronzing, but says she'd never expose the tot to fake rays and that she got sunburned playing outside. "I tan, she doesn't tan," she says. Oh boy, does she tan.
