One-ton bacon cheeseburger leaves no one asking 'where's the beef?'
9/4/2012When we heard about a cheeseburger that was topped with 60 pounds of bacon, we assumed it was the latest offering from Burger King. In reality, that was just one of the garnishes on the Guinness-record setting burger served at Minnesota's Black Bear Casino: a 10-foot diameter cheeseburger that weighed in at a whopping 2,014 pounds, not counting 240 pounds of cheese, bacon and other toppings. The literally super-sized patty took four hours to cook, and a crane was brought in to hoist and flip it. "[The] world record burger … actually tastes really good," Guinness adjudicator Phillip Robertson said. Since the meat alone has around 2,475,206 calories (seriously, we calculated it) we hope they served it with a Diet Coke. [Source]
