Firearm-lovers push for Gun Appreciation Day
1/8/2013There obviously isn't enough appreciation for firearms. So a coalition of gun rights groups is hoping America can rediscover its love for hot lead by setting aside a special day for gun purposes, just like it did for Martin Luther King, Jr., veterans and flags. Activists are eyeing January 19, two days before President Obama’s second inauguration, for the special day. Organizers want supporters to flock to gun stores, shows and ranges to protest what they see as government overreach following the Newtown school shooting. But what does one give on Gun Appreciation Day? Cards? Flowers? Baked goods? Ammo seems a bit boring. [Source]
