Texas gun shop will give teachers discounts on firearms
12/19/2012Twitter is in a tizzy again, this time over a gun store in Texas that's offering a discount on firearms for teachers. Just after a Missouri police chief called for arming school personnel, Keller's Riverside Gun Store near Austin says schoolteachers can have markdowns. According to owner Crocket Keller, who made headlines last year for running an ad saying handgun classes wouldn't be offered to Muslims, among other groups, the promotion is a response to the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Twitter user @Joe_Robison called his offer a "mature & measured response," while @GlenBerger1 labeled it a "cheap offensive sales ploy." [Source]
