NYT critic: Guy Fieri's new eatery is pretty much the worst place ever
11/14/2012Congratulations, Guy Fieri, host of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" and owner of Guy's American Kitchen & Bar in New York's Times Square. You've just received the worst (and most entertaining) restaurant review EVER. Evil wordsmith and New York Times critic Pete Wells writes that there are "few things on your menu that can be eaten without fear or regret," noting (among other horrors) "how very far from awesome the Awesome Pretzel Chicken Tenders are," tasting "like chewy air." Nothing escapes Wells' wrath — not the service, not the "whirling hypno wheel" menu, not even that blue drink that "glows like nuclear waste" or the watermelon margarita that tastes like a combo of "radiator fluid and formaldehyde."
