Guys splurge on $100, high-tech 'bra-like' underwear
5/6/2012Forget that downer of a jobs report: The economy must be on a serious upswing, because guys are reportedly spending lots and lots of money on bra-like underpants. In a potentially dubious style story, it's been reported that male clients are now spending upwards of $100 for "high-tech" Swedish underwear that involves "an interior mesh pouch that is suspended from elastic straps, so it can be adjusted to fit different characteristics of the male anatomy." (That's right: "It's sort of like a bra with one cup.") It's called the Frigo No. 1 and is apparently the product of more than $2 million of research. The Frigo's not the only pricey pair out there: There's also a $45 pair of New Zealand wool briefs from Icebreaker, and $36 underwear, the production of which involves "distilled water from the Italian alps."
