Bald, wet and alone – puppy abandoned during flood

There’s a new contender for saddest photo of the year. This heartbreaking image is of a 12-week-old puppy that was abandoned during recent flooding in Leeds, England. The little pooch had it worse than many a beast would in those windy, drenched conditions, as she suffers from a skin condition that has left her bald. Fortunately she was scooped up by a friendly passer-by and is now being cared for at an animal shelter, where she’s been nicknamed Splash and will be available for adoption. We hope the name doesn’t stick, as surely that pup wouldn’t want to be reminded of her watery nightmare every day. [Source]
