Sick, hungry royal penguin washes up in New Zealand

Is there anything more pathetically adorable than this royal penguin, aka Happy Feet II, who washed up on a New Zealand beach? Penguin experts at Wellington Zoo say the youngster probably lost his way while struggling to find food, and had to come ashore to molt. Unfortunately the normally regal bird is in critical condition, suffering from malnutrition and kidney failure, but if he does recover, he'll be released to find his way home to the sub-Antarctic Macquarie Island, 1,240 miles away.
