4 students arrested in Egypt over 'scandalous' Harlem Shake video2/24/2013
Police in Egypt announced Saturday that they arrested four students filming a Harlem Shake video in a middle-class Cairo neighborhood. The students weren't arrested for crimes against Internet relevancy (please, stop making "Harlem Shake" videos, everyone), but for indecency. Egypt has strict public indecency laws, and when the group stripped down to their underwear to perform the dance, a mob of neighborhood residents tried to assault them. The students stand accused of committing "a scandalous act," according to police. Now if only future "Harlem Shake" videos would be outlawed, we could move on to the next random viral trend. [Source]
