Is HBO GO about to break free from cable fees?
3/22/2013For a long time, people who love HBO series and hate paying for cable have wondered if the premium network could make their online content-streaming service, HBO GO, available for a fee (like Netflix! Or Amazon!) but HBO was all like "No way, José" with no signs of letting up … until now. Yes, as spring comes to our land anew, so dawns the hope that a whole new audience can enjoy series like "Enlightened," "Girls" and "Game of Thrones," as these series may soon be offered in a bundle by certain (unnamed) Internet service providers, where customers could pay $50 a month for Internet service and $10-15 for HBO GO as an add-on, for a total of $60-65 a month.
