Not-so-lucky HBO show sued over alleged horse mistreatment
1/3/2013"Luck" is out of it (luck, that is). The short-lived HBO show about a horse-racing track, starring Dustin Hoffman, was canceled by the network in March following reports three horses were killed during filming. The show has enjoyed a bit of a second life over the past few weeks, thanks to appearances on several critics' best-of-the-year lists, but those accolades may pale with the news that HBO and the show's production team are being sued by a former American Humane Association employee for mistreating the horses and covering up the abuse. HBO has denied any wrongdoing. [Source]
