Heated 'Toastie Knife' promises a better butter

6/29/2012

Tearing a slice of bread to shreds because the butter you're attempting to spread is too cold is basically the ultimate first world problem. So we can thank U.K. bakery chain Warburtons for coming up with the perfect solution: the "Toastie Knife," a butter knife with a heated element in the blade. The blade warms up to 107 degrees -- apparently "the perfect temperature for efficient butter spreading," according to Britain's "top toast experts." Yes, we checked it's not April 1 today.
