Heroic dog rescues drowning toddler
6/26/2012This loyal pooch has been promoted to superhero, getting major kudos after saving 14-month-old Stanley from drowning. Patricia Drauch told 24 Hour News 8 she'd only turned her back for a second when her son plunged into their backyard pool in Marcellus, Mich. Thankfully, Bear, the family's black Labrador, was watching. The faithful hound kept Stanley's head above water until Patricia noticed him "floating" in the water with Bear supporting him. "He didn't bark, he didn't move, it was like he was afraid to move until I got Stanley out of the pool." Thanks to Bear, little Stanley's going to be fine -- and Patricia promises she's erecting a fence around the pool ASAP.
