Hey ya! Outkast's Andre 3000 to play Hendrix in new biopic

Maybe the lyrics to that Outkast song should be changed to "Shake it, shake it like a full-length motion picture." Half of the rap duo, an uncharacteristically idle Andre 3000 (real-life name Andre Benjamin), has reportedly been cast to play Jimi Hendrix in an upcoming biopic. The film, "All Is by My Side," will cover the guitar god's time in London from 1966 to 1967 as he worked on the legendary riffage that would become "Are You Experienced," his debut album. Benjamin does have a number of film credits on his musically inclined resume, including "Hollywood Homicide," "Four Brothers" and "Semi-Pro" and no, we didn't say they were GOOD films.
