In India, you could cast your vote for Hitler or Frankenstein

Any politician will tell you name recognition can trump party affiliation or the issues when voters go to mark their ballots. But the state assembly election choices in the small Indian state of Meghalaya, where fascination with bizarre names is almost a cultural rite, couldn't be more extreme. There's the statesmanlike (Jhim Carter Sangma), the comical (Billykid Sangma) and even the frightening (Frankenstein Momin). But one politico hasn't let the most unfortunate name possible keep him from being elected to office three times. That's Adolf Hitler, who likes to think his middle name of "Lu" is enough stop any association with Der Fuhrer. [Source]
