HIV-positive maid laced kid's porridge with menstrual blood
2/29/2012We never want to hear Goldilocks complain about the temperature of her breakfast again. An HIV-positive maid from Zimbabwe was arrested after lacing the porridge of her employer's 4-year-old child with menstrual blood. Pelagia Mureya was caught red-handed after her boss noticed the foul fluid in the child's meal and demanded tests at a local hospital. The 17-year-old played ignorant to no avail and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Twitter reaction is replete with abbreviation-heavy exclamations of "OMG" and "WTF?!", though @PositiveYouths, which advocates for sexual reproductive health, emphasizes the seriousness of the crime, stating "This is cruel beyond words!!"
