Hockey players start fighting even before game begins

Tempers run high during even regular-season hockey games, so spectators knew they were in for fireworks when the Allen Americans and Texas Brahmas faced off for game four of their Central Hockey League playoff battle. They might not have expected those fireworks to kick off even before the ceremonial puck drop -- but that's what happened here, as the Brahmas' Ryan Hand and the Americans' Brett Clouthier throw off their gloves even before the game's official start. The two players would fight again later in the game -- just seconds after they got out of the penalty box for their pre-game infraction.
