Hell hath no fury like a woman who's a victim of 'revenge porn'
1/25/2013If Hollie Toups was creeped out when someone she met at a store told her, "You're the girl from that website," it was nothing compared to how she felt when she logged on to Texxxan.com and saw a way-too-candid picture she'd given a former boyfriend. Now she and two dozen other Texas women have filed a class-action suit against the site and host GoDaddy.com, hoping to shut it down permanently. Attorney John Morgan insists protections under the Communications Decency Act, which says websites are not liable for user-submitted content, don't apply to the site because it knowingly posts photos without a subject's consent. Maybe litigating well is actually the best revenge. [Source]
