Homer Simpson has a fishy doppelganger (D'oh!)
3/26/2012Homer Simpson has an undersea doppelganger. During a diving expedition in Indonesia, British photographer Mark Webster snapped a photo of an elusive Stargazer fish, a sea creature that often remains buried underground during the day and emerges at night, jumping out of hiding to ambush prey. Webster said as soon as he saw the fish, he was struck by how much it looked like a certain bumbling, donut-loving "Simpsons" character, telling The Sun "I immediately saw a resemblance to Homer Simpson with the bulging eyes and that slightly vacant look with its mouth open." Definite resemblance, but to us it looks more like a sunken Wilson the volleyball from "Castaway."
Do you think the fish looks like Homer Simpson?
