It’s hard to know whether Honey Boo Boo (a.k.a. Alana Thompson) is one of the best-paid 7-year-olds on the planet -- or working on the cheap for her network. Both are probably true: The Hollywood Reporter said today that HBB and her family are earning around $40,000 for the TLC series, at only $2,000 to $4,000 per episode. Assuming the show returns for a second season -- a safe bet, considering its weekly audience north of 3 million -- expect Honey Boo Boo and her lawyers to conduct some much tougher negotiations next time around.
