News has broken that the bankrupt bakery company Hostess Brands has struck a deal with Flower Foods, Inc. to sell its beloved bread brand for $390 million. The Georgia-based maker of Tastykakes, as well as Nature's Own and Cobblestone Mill, won out the bid for six of Hostess' now defunct brands. With this news coming not long after scientists said white bread may actually be healthy, times are good for fans of empty carbs topped with bologna. [Source]
