Insane driver aces real life Hot Wheels corkscrew jump
9/18/2012For anyone who’s ever dreamed of a life sized Hot Wheels set, here you go. Behold the giant ramps in that familiar hazy orange and watch this modern day Evel Knievel pull off this real life, world record-setting 92-foot corkscrew jump. At the wheel is driver Brent Fletcher, and what you can’t glean from the vid is that race car driver Alex Roy is on site and watching in awe. Gearheads may be happily celebrating this “first” but film buffs will know this move was first performed by stuntman “Bumps” Willard sitting in for James Bond on the set of “The Man with the Golden Gun.” But never mind, we’re impressed.
