10 Chinese families pose with all their belongings

You might think these photos of Chinese families with all their possessions would comment only on the relative economic status of each clan -- and certainly, compared to many American families, they don’t have much. What’s just as interesting, though, is the diversity of lifestyles these families experience -- from desert yurts to snowy mountains to the edges of what seem to be rather unappealing cities. Photographer Huang Qingjun has been at work on this project for ten years, and it will only become more diverse: He says he now hopes to shoot some of the country’s richest people, including billionaire Jack Ma.
