Watch a humpback whale surprise the hell out of two kayakers

If you want to get up close and personal with a whale, you can shelve that "Free Willy" Blu-ray Disc and head to the central California coast. On the same day humpback whales were putting on a show for boaters in Port San Luis, a mom and her daughter got a 30-ton surprise during an afternoon kayaking trip. Rhonda Burmeister was paddling with her daughter when they noticed a group of seagulls flocking to the water's surface. Just seconds later, a massive humpback whale leaped out of the water close enough to splash their kayaks. We would've screamed even louder than they did. [Source]
