Massive hockey brawl fills the bench instead of clearing it

What "Slap Shot" did to mythologize the minor-league hockey brawl, the Huntsville Havoc and Mississippi Surge have managed to cement in real-life legend. When the wrestling between Huntsville's Corey Fulton and the Surge's Jeff Grant spilled into the Mississippi bench, everyone piled on: skaters, goalies, backup goalies and even trainers. Only when Branden Kosolofsky of the Surge decided to bring a stick to the party, however, were the sensibilities of the play-by-play announcer offended. "If you're going to fight, that's one thing," he complains, "but to get out a stick is a complete wussy move." The overmatched referee must have agreed: Kosolofsky got 29 of the 129 penalty minutes dished out.
