Officials consider moving NY and NJ poll locations for Election Day

11/3/2012

With the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy still leaving many in New York and New Jersey with too little power and too much water, election officials are considering moving polling sites to ensure that everyone can vote. The states have asked power companies to prioritize returning electricity to voting sites, but officials have also considered using ballots that must be filled out by hand if they can't get the electricity running in time. Even in places where the building intended to be a polling site is no longer standing, officials will be setting up tents to make sure that everyone can find a place to vote.  [Source]
